"COOL RULES THE POOL"

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS 

The ALT DOLPHINS need parents help to organize and run the meets.

Swimming is a family sport...and that includes parents! 

 

This year all families will be required at the time of registration to leave a deposit check of $200 to be returned upon the completion of  

at least 7 shifts of volunteer service per family.

(We don't want to cash your check, we NEED your help!) 

  • Families who do not complete the minimum required 7 shifts will be contributing their deposit towards the Dolphin's account in order to cover end-of-the-year expenses.  
  • Deposit checks will not be cashed until after championships, providing all families the opportunity to complete their minimum required hours. 
  • All completed volunteer shifts will be posted after each meet on the web site and at pool side, in order to track your families volunteering easily.   
  • This policy has been successfully used by many of the teams in the Sierra Foothill Swim League to help ensure a more equitable participation by all families. 
  • Your support for your child's swim team is extremely needed and appreciated! 
  • There are a variety of volunteer activities throughout the season for your family to participate in such as but not limited to: Master Stager - Staging Parent - Starter - Timer - Lane Slip Runner - Stroke & Turn Judge - Computer/Recorder - Ribbon Writer - Set-up - Clean-up.  
  • If you sign up for a shift and find you are unable to fulfill your position, we ask that you provide adequate notice to your team's (Volunteer Coordinator) Toni Mabray at 887-0668 in order for your position to be filled in time.
  • No shows will be penalized with the amount of time in which you were to have volunteered.
